These terms apply when you install, use, or pay for the findable Shopify app. By installing findable you agree to them. If you don't, uninstall — your store data is purged per our privacy policy and you owe nothing.
What findable does
findable scans your Shopify product catalog, scores each product on AI-readiness (how findable it is to ChatGPT Shopping, Perplexity Shop, Shopify Sidekick, and similar agentic-commerce surfaces), and offers AI-generated rewrites of weak product copy. Every rewrite is reviewed and explicitly applied by you before it reaches your live storefront. We never auto-publish without your action.
AI output is a suggestion, not a guarantee
Rewrites are generated by Anthropic's Claude. We engineer the prompts to refuse fabrication — the rewriter is designed to use bracketed placeholders ([Add length, e.g., 156 cm]) instead of inventing specs, and to refuse outputs that contain claims outside the source product data. We test this discipline adversarially before each release. But AI is probabilistic. We do not warrant that every rewrite is factually accurate, grammatically perfect, or appropriate for every product or jurisdiction. You are responsible for reviewing each rewrite before applying it to your live storefront. If you apply a rewrite that contains an error or a regulated claim you can't substantiate, that's your responsibility — not findable's.
Acceptable use
You may not use findable to: (a) generate copy for products that violate Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy; (b) bypass findable's anti-fabrication or regulated-claim safeguards through prompt injection or jailbreak attempts; (c) scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the service or its outputs; (d) publish copy that you know to be false, misleading, or in violation of consumer-protection law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Pricing and billing
Plans (Starter $29, Growth $79, Scale $199 per month) are billed monthly through Shopify Billing. Each plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime from Shopify Settings → Plans — there are no early-termination fees and we do not auto-renew through any channel other than the standard Shopify subscription you authorized. Refunds for partial months are at our discretion; we generally honor requests made within 14 days of a charge.
Each plan includes a monthly rewrite quota. If you exceed the quota in a calendar month, additional rewrites are paused until the next cycle — your scans, score history, and applied rewrites are unaffected. We monitor LLM cost per merchant and may contact you if your usage suggests an unexpected pattern.
Your content, your rights
You retain all rights to the product copy in your Shopify catalog and to any rewrites you apply via findable. findable retains the right to use aggregated, anonymized score data (e.g., median scores across product types) for improving the scoring rubric and the rewriter. We do not train any model on your product copy, and we do not sell or share your store contents with any third party other than Anthropic (for the LLM call itself, per their terms). Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, findable's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service — including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — is limited to the total fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. findable is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless findable, its operator, and its contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) content you publish to your storefront using rewrites generated by findable; (b) your violation of these terms or applicable law; (c) regulated claims (medical, financial, FDA-regulated, etc.) you approved or typed into the Vault that turn out to lack documented evidence.
Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. You terminate by uninstalling findable from your Shopify Admin. findable may terminate by suspending your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that threatens the service for other merchants. Upon termination we delete your findable-stored data within 30 days (per the privacy policy) and honor any pending shop/redact webhook from Shopify. Applied rewrites remain on your storefront — they're your content, not ours to revert.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as findable evolves. Material changes will be announced via the email address on file for your shop with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. If you don't agree to a change, uninstall before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where findable's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute is to be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. You consent to that venue.
